Since 2013, the companies have helped raise more than $4.8 million for Texas Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospital.

“Our commitment to giving is at the heart of Drive for a Child, and we’re proud to see this annual tradition grow year after year,” said JP Fjeld-Hansen, president of Musket and Love’s Alternative Energy. “That progress is made possible by the unwavering support of our valued sponsors and every attendee who helped raise funds to improve children’s health and change lives. Hosting this year’s event was another success in our partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital. Together, we’re dedicated to making a lasting, life-changing difference for children and their families.”

Funds raised this year will help make a meaningful difference for patients like Marina, Texas Children’s 2026 CMN Miracle Child. Marina was born prematurely at 34 weeks, was resuscitated at birth and spent the first seven months of her life at the NICU at Texas Children's Hospital. Marina was diagnosed with autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD), a rare and life-threatening condition affecting about one in 25,000 children. What began as an uncertain start quickly became months in the NICU, followed by years of dialysis, hospital stays and surgeries, a time that no child or family should have to face. In 2018, at 3 years old, Marina received a life-saving kidney transplant from her father. By age 8, she had undergone over 25 surgical procedures and benefited from seven years of occupational therapy and nine years of physical therapy to support her developmental progress. Throughout her journey, a dedicated team at Texas Children’s Hospital has remained by her side. That support helps families like Marina’s find strength, hope and high-quality care when they need it most.

“We’re incredibly grateful for Musket and Love’s continued commitment to Drive for a Child,” said Jennifer Smart, manager of philanthropy at Texas Children’s Hospital. “The generosity behind this annual event fuels the research, innovation and care that children and families depend on to help us deliver life-changing discoveries and reach more kids facing tough health challenges.”
